Our client's Water Resources and Civil Projects Group is looking for highly skilled, experienced engineering professionals who thrive on working on projects from concept to operation, and excel at leading and managing multi-disciplinary project teams, mentoring and training staff, and sustaining and developing excellent client relationships.
They require Intermediate and Senior Municipal Engineers to lead and work on various municipal projects including; water and wastewater networks, numerical flow modeling, lift stations, storm water management systems and transportation infrastructure projects.
Position Summary:
- Extensive first-hand experience in water and wastewater networks, lift stations, transportation infrastructure projects and numerical flow modeling design.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering design standards, codes, best practice guidelines, technical references, regulatory requirements and permit applications.
- Familiarity with MIKE software, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS, CFD, AutoCAD software and developing in-house software programs.
- Construction administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including experience writing proposals, technical reports, construction specifications and tender documentation.
- Proven time management, project management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and budgets.
- Strong interpersonal skills. To lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, collaborate and work efficiently with engineers, scientists and managers at all levels, and communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience training and mentoring staff.
- Solid track record in developing and sustaining business relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering. A post-graduate degree would be and asset, but is not mandatory.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of first-hand work experience in municipal engineering.
- Currently registered or eligible for registration as a P. Eng. in Canada.
